How much does Valenbisi cost per year?
The Valenbisi long-duration pass costs €29.21 a year, with the first 30 minutes of every trip free. After that you pay for time: €0.50 for the next half hour, then €2 per additional hour. It is comfortably the cheapest way to get around Valencia.
Are Valenbisi bikes electric?
No. Valenbisi is a conventional pedal bike service, so the effort is all yours. Clover bikes are Riese & Müller with electric assistance up to 25 km/h, which is the difference you feel in Valencia between April and October when the heat sets in, or when you are heading to a meeting and would rather not arrive sweaty.
If the pass is €29, why would I pay more?
Because that €29 covers membership, not the rides. Every trip over 30 minutes is billed separately, and the meter runs whether you are pedalling, waiting at a light or looking for a dock. Clover is one monthly price with no time charges.
There are stations near me. What is the problem?
A station only helps if it has bikes when you leave and free docks when you arrive. Rush hour, weekends and beach days are exactly when both are hardest to find. On this page we publish, using live official data, how many stations are empty right now and how many are completely full.
Do I really need electric assist?
In Valencia it helps a great deal from April through October. The city is flat, but distances are longer than they look and the heat is real. If you are heading to work or a meeting, the motor does the effort and you arrive presentable.
What if the bike breaks down?
Maintenance is included and unlimited. You message us and we sort it. You never pay for a repair and you are never left without a bike.
What happens if it is stolen or damaged?
The subscription includes insurance and theft replacement, so you are not left stranded or out of pocket.
I do not ride every day. Is it worth it?
On the 12-month plan Clover works out at about €2.30 a day, whether you ride or not. If you use it three or four times a week the maths works. And because it is at your door, you end up using it for trips you would never bother with on a dock-based scheme.
Am I tied into a long contract?
No. The month-to-month plan is €99 with no commitment. The 12-month plan is €69 a month. And if it is not for you, we refund you.
Where do I park it when I am out?
Wherever you like: a bike rack, outside a bar, your own hallway. No stations and no penalty for where you leave it. You lock it like any bike, never to a tree, and it stays where you left it.
